Gas and electric heat
Heating and Furnace Repair in Johns Creek
Clicks with no flame, chilly air or a furnace that gives up halfway. We walk the startup chain, find the weak link and bring the warmth back.
A Chilly House Always Has a Reason
Most winter days around here are gentle, which is exactly why the furnace can loaf through autumn and then balk on the first real freeze. Dust coats the flame sensor. The igniter develops a hairline crack. A filter that looked fine at Halloween is caked by New Year's. A gas furnace runs a strict checklist every time it starts: inducer spins up, pressure switch confirms the vent is clear, igniter glows, gas valve opens, flame sensor proves fire. Miss one step and the board shuts everything down, retries, retries again and finally locks out. Electric units have no flame at all; they depend on resistance coils, sequencers and limits, each with its own way of wearing out. Our tech follows that chain link by link until the weak one shows itself, and replaces only that. Before calling, make sure the thermostat says heat, the switch on the furnace is on, the filter is clean and no breaker has tripped. One hard rule: a gas smell means hands off every switch, including the thermostat. Get everyone outside and ring the gas utility or 911 once you are clear of the house. Once the gas side is safe, we fix the furnace.
What Furnace Repair Covers
The usual suspects behind a no-heat call, gas or electric.
No flame
A cracked igniter, a gas valve that will not open or a control board that never sends the signal.
Lights, then dies
A sooty or failed flame sensor that cannot confirm fire, so the board kills the gas seconds later.
Chilly air
Burners sitting dark, a thermostat fan left on or a hot high-limit switch shutting the heat off.
Inducer and vent switch
A loud or dead inducer, or a pressure switch that will not close, stopping startup before ignition.
Quick cycles
Heat that runs a minute and stops, usually a packed filter, a tripping limit or a control fault.
Blower trouble
A tired blower motor, weak capacitor or dirty wheel, leaving the heat exchanger hot and the rooms cool.
Electric heat
Elements, sequencers and limits inside electric furnaces and air handlers tested and replaced.
How We Get the Heat Back
Follow the chain
We call for heat and watch each stage: inducer, pressure switch, igniter, gas valve, flame sensor, blower.
Point it out
You see the part that broke the chain and hear the cost. Any safety worry is spelled out plainly.
Fix and cycle
New part in, then several full heating cycles while we watch the flame, the temperature rise and every safety switch.
